Those words are not exclusively the prophetic declaration of an intercessor nor even a line from a missions' magazine! These words are drawn right from much current media coverage of new relationships between the West and the huge market potential of India. And, these words so encompass what the Spirit is currently saying about His work in this nation of a vast land mass and millions of people.

Yes, there's a New India arising! Many are familiar with pictures of huge churches, especially in the south, where hundreds of believers meet every week for worship. And, unmistakenly many are familiar with the desperate social and economic needs pictured from the slums.

But, there's a New India arising! This India is one which will begin to prototype the building of a strong Church which will have influence on every level of society. This India is one in which the Spirit will begin to call forth a generation which already is so "wired" for international influence!

As with every scenerio "in transition", you don't automatically delete the "old" to begin to experience the "new". There will be many dynamics which converge from both. However, there is a strong call of the Spirit to begin to focus on a New India as it arises.

Over two years ago I began to hear prophecy about "look to Asia... and specifically India". There is a current scramble in government financial agencies and corporate board rooms racing to tap into this emerging market! We, the Church, cannot lag behind! There is a pressing of the Spirit to partner with those whom the Lord has raised up in this emerging nation to begin to define and shape "the new" lest the Church be relegated to a former hour.

We are personally so thankful for the relationships with "New India" leadership in Bangalore. In February we will be back in that nation to visit. The Women of Destiny Conference will be a major expression of our assignment there. We will be so pleased to come alongside leaders such as Pastor Gavin & Amenla Cunningham, Pastor Edelbert & Jane Kharsyntiew who minister specifically to the young i-tech crowd, and Evangelist Shyju Mathew. Ready to receive and facilitate us will be Bill & Elveera Redwood who have recently moved back to their homeland as the Lord's "sent ones" from Toronto!
