| An Antique Pitcher and a Global Harvest |

What does a grape-covered pitcher have to do with a harvest of souls? As we were considering adding a high shelf to living room I heard the Lord specifically say: "Put three pitchers on the shelf; one of them must be antique from Canada." I didn't argue. He's both Lord of our lives and of the decor of our home! The search began. Along a most amazing path we were led to this pitcher... covered with grapes... Where did it come from? Why did the Lord even want an antique pitcher specifically from Canada on the shelf? The answer was waiting in Isaiah 32:15: "Till the Spirit is poured upon us from on high." What did He want to "pour upon us"? The answer was waiting in the pitcher. It had belonged to the lady who was said to have won the first person to Christ in the small Ontario town of Oilsprings. That town is where the first oil in North America was found! Linking it together I knew clearly that the pitcher represented the residual anointing of evangelism which is about to be poured out on our nation! The pitcher went onto the shelf and the expectation went into my heart! I believe that Evangelist Shyju Mathew who will soon arrive to Toronto for extended meetings is part of the Lord's intended "pouring out"... Get ready! (see Consider This for the schedule of Shyju's meetings at the Toronto Downpour). |
