![]() "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, This verse is celebration... this verse is an announcement... this verse is the confirmation of the ability of God to do what He has says! We are entering into a season when we shall be the participants in the manifestation of the promises of God! We are coming into a season of the activity of both the mouth of God to promise and the hand of God to perform it! The original setting for these words was the dedication of the temple. The cloud came; the fire fell; the glory of the Lord filled the temple! Solomon releases a blessing with this announcement. With the people of God, Solomon was now seeing the fulfillment of what had been the words of the Lord to his father David. There is not only great, great joy and awe in this moment, there is likely great relief! So much effort... so much preparation... so much investment... so much obedient response to the directions of God is in place and now the Lord has sealed it with the cloud and fire of His Presence and glory! We are personally entering into that season with the release of my first book, A is For Apple. In 1999 I heard a word over Canada: "winter is past" from Song of Songs 2:11. That set me on a journey of 6 months in the Song of Songs. In June of '99 I heard Him say clearly regarding the pages of journal notes: "You will write these into a book and the title will be "A is For Apple". Now, ten years later (ten being the number of fullness), the book is ready! He spoke it with His mouth; He fulfilled it with His hand! The timing itself is significant as the word "past" in S.S. 2:11 means to "cross over". As with the building of the temple, the passing of time has brought us to the fulfillment of the promise! As at the temple dedication, "the obedience of God's prepared servants merged with the supernatural activity of God"! That is the season we are entering into... and it is for you, too!! Rev. Peggy I. These Daily Delights from the Song of Songs will enhance both our relationship with our Lord and our partnership with Him! |
