Just a sign along a country road in southern Ontario... and yet this marker calls loudly to our generation. Here is the childhood farm and birthplace of Aimee Semple McPherson. This sign is so indicative of exactly how the Lord works! Just people...ordinary people...but an extra-ordinary God chooses to work through the likes of us! I'm told that in one African nation they love to introduce favoured speakers as "Here is Sister ___________: a Woman of a Mighty God!"

I'm challenged by that! It's far too much pressure to be a "mighty woman of God"... How much more possible and pleasing to the Lord to be a "woman of a Mighty God"! Amen! If you've felt you might never qualify for a roadside marker to note your place of birth (!), or perhaps to gain an entry in the Hall of Fame of Faith (Hebrews 11), please be encouraged and challenged to know that the list in Romans chapter 16 is still being written today!
